WATCHMEN
MIDNIGHT
EDITED BY: FLIXCAPACITOR

Watchmen: Midnight
Crafted to recapture some of the spirit, story structure, and character depth of the original comic books by reorganizing/trimming scenes, adding new content from the “Under the Hood” documentary, replacing music to change the tone of various scenes, as well as cutting out silly stunts and other material that did not fit the tone of the original comics.

The Shape
Official Synopsis: Laurie Strode becomes traumatized years after a ruthless stranger, Michael Myers, escapes the asylum, and violently attacks the residents of Haddonfield; leaving multiple dead.
This fanedit attempts to fix what's wrong with the Zombie Halloween flicks, while reassembling footage from multiple films to tell a unique story, with a new color grade and music throughout. I am hoping to create a connected universe of sorts in the horror genre, like I have done with Marvel and DC Comics.

Green Street Elite Cut
Takes out the angrier elements of the music, and replaces it with a "Karate rock" feel--ala Karate Kid. Shamus keeps it more light hearted, as well as elevates certain scenes, while trimming a few bits of melodramatic dialog here and there. He also included songs from Cobra Kai and Karate Kid, as well as a few other 80s and modern songs to help give the film a new texture of elevation.

Eight Legged Freaks: Extended Cut
Added all the deleted scenes to the film making it 13 mins longer than the original film. Also added a black and white filter to this edit, to make this more like a "B" film from the 1950s.

Blade: Re-Cut
Inspired by Filmnerd14 with his edit on Marvel Knights. This cut removes Abraham Whistler's death and Blade finding out that his mother is alive but she's a vampire now. Now this edit has a new colour grading and a new song during Club Fight Scene.

Silent Hill: The New Light
It's a re-cut of Silent Hill by removing Sean Bean's character and giving a new colour grading to the film.

Genisys: A Terminator Story
In this edit, all of the post Judgement Day footage has been deleted since the movie is not about that. The villain is no longer John Connor, but now a new Terminator taking the shape and form of John Connor. Some cringe-worth humor has been removed and the 1984 setting has a new aspect ratio. Particularly, the 1:85:1 frame.

Jupiter Ascending: Recurrence
It has been heavily restructured to flow better, with more purpose and excitement. There is a new opening (which is also symbolic of the elements in the story), with my own mix of an unofficial musical theme taken from various parts of the score. Action scenes are sharper and dialogue is more intent driven.

Next: Redux
This version builds more intrigue with the new opening sequence. There is no introductory voiceover. It has a reworked 2nd act and a slight addition to the ending to emphasize an important lesson for the main character.

Salt: Hybrid Closure Cut
This is an edit of the 2010 movie Salt. Wilhelm Scream combined elements of all 3 cuts and it no longer ends in a sequel bait cliffhanger that was never followed up on.

Final Destination: Sinister
This was a collaboration with r/anappleonastick78 where both editor's re-cut both films by short some scenes and cut some moments in the films to make the characters likeable. The color-grading was done by Sum Lee.

THE DEVIL AMONG US
An edit from Netflix's The Devil All the Time, with the main focus on 3 things:
-No narration,
-A tighter story without so much filler,
-The typical FireMerk thang (New Music and a New Color Grade throughout).

Escape Room: No Way Out
This new edit inserts some deleted scenes, reconstructs the journey of the movie, and is presented as a steady unravelling of secrets and fears.

El Camino: A Short Film
Following through Vince Gilligan’s original pitch for the movie as a 20 minute short, this edit serves to be a fast-paced end for Jesse’s story and an experiment for Conner's editing.
